Yes! It’s enough if you persevere. There will always be daunting aspects, but there are also so many amazing things about journalism. Once you finalise a story, it’s a feeling like no other. No other writing form can compare. You look back and realise how many people you connected with for that story and how much you learned and, at least for me, it’s like fuel. It makes me want to keep doing it and get better at it. It could be different for you, or for other people, but in my case, a love for writing and for sharing people’s stories was all I needed. Everything else, I learned along the way.
